97. Conversation on the Way to Emmaus.
That afternoon two men were walking on the road to Emmaus, which was about seven miles from Jerusalem. Now Jesus apparently had the ability to materialize and de-materialize his form at will. As they were discussing the events about him, he joined them unobtrusively and inquired about the discussion. To confirm the faith they had that this man was the Christ he pointed out how these various events fulfilled the prophecies of the scripture.
Very pleased with these teachings they invited him to stay with them. When they sat down to eat and looked at each other face to face, he blessed the bread, and suddenly they realized who he was. He immediately disappeared, and they reflected how the love in their hearts had awakened as he was teaching them. By the time they returned to Jerusalem, Jesus had also appeared to Simon. In the transcendental consciousness he could be anywhere at any given moment.
