12. Jesus is Baptized by John.
John recognized Jesus as one who sacrifices himself in order to assist people in the releasing of their karma (sins). John was aware of the greater Light with Jesus, but Jesus was willing to humble himself to set a good example and to fulfill the process that was set up. When Jesus was baptized, his direct connection with God became apparent as the Spirit settled upon him. John was able to recognize this direct contact with God, and it confirmed for him the signs he had been given by which he would know the Christ who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.
