Luke 9:43b-45
Matthew 17:24-27

And going out from there they passed through Galilee,
and he did not wish anyone to know;
for he was teaching his disciples,
and he said to them,
"The human son is given over into the hands of people,
and they will kill him,
and being killed after three days he will rise up."
And they were ignorant of this saying,
and were afraid to question him.
Mark 9:30-32

As they were gathering in Galilee, Jesus said to them,
"The human son is going to be
given over in the hands of people,
and they will kill him,
and on the third day he will be raised."
And they were deeply grieved.
Matthew 17:22-23

While everyone was marveling at all the things which he did,
he said to his disciples, "Put these words into your ears:
for the human son is going to be
given over into the hands of people."
But they were ignorant of this saying,
and it was hidden from them lest they should perceive it,
and they were afraid to ask him about this saying.
Luke 9:43b-45

And as they were coming into Capernaum,
the ones receiving the two-drachma tax approached Peter
and said, "Doesn't your teacher pay the two-drachma?"

He says, "Yes."

And coming into the house Jesus anticipated him
saying, "What do you think, Simon?
From whom do the kings of the earth receive duty or tax?
From their sons or from others?"

And having said, "From others,"
Jesus said to him, "Then the sons are free.
But so that we should not offend them,
going to the sea cast a hook and take the first fish coming up,
and opening its mouth you will find a four-drachma coin;
taking that give it to them for mine and yours."
Matthew 17:24-27
