Mark 8:22-26

And getting up from there
he went away into the region of Tyre.
And entering into a house he did not wish anyone to know,
yet it could not be kept secret;
but immediately a woman having heard about him,
whose daughter had an unclean spirit, coming fell at his feet;
and the woman was Greek, born a Syrophoenician;
and she asked him to expel the demon out of her daughter.

And he said to her,
"Allow the children to be satisfied first;
for it is not nice to take the children's bread
and throw it to the dogs."

And she answered and says to him, "Yes, Lord;
yet the dogs underneath the table
eat from the children's crumbs."

And he said to her, "Because of this word, go;
the demon has gone out of your daughter."
And having gone away into her home
she found the child laying on the bed
and the demon had gone out.
Mark 7:24-30

And going out from there
Jesus withdrew into parts of Tyre and Sidon.
And look, a Canaanite woman from those regions coming out
shouted saying, "Have mercy on me, Lord, son of David;
my daughter is badly demonized."

But he did not answer her a word.
And his disciples approaching asked him saying,
"Release her, for she is screaming at us."

But answering he said, "I was not sent to anyone
except the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

But coming she knelt before him saying, "Lord, help me."

And answering he said, "It is not nice
to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."

And she said, "Yes, Lord; yet even the dogs
eat from the crumbs falling off their lords' table."

Then Jesus answering said to her,
"O woman, your faith is great!
Let it be for you as you intend."
And her daughter was cured from that hour.
Matthew 15:21-28

And again going out of the regions of Tyre
he came through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee
in the middle of the districts of Decapolis.
And they bring to him a deaf person with a speech impediment,
and beg him to put his hand on him.

And taking him away from the crowd privately
he put his fingers into his ears
and spitting touched his tongue,
and looking up into heaven he sighed,
and says to him, "Ephphatha," which is "Be opened."
And his ears were opened,
and immediately the bond of his tongue was loosened,
and he spoke correctly.

And he ordered them not to tell anyone;
but as much as he ordered them,
so much more did they proclaim it.
And they were overwhelmingly amazed
saying, "He has done everything well;
he makes both the deaf hear and the speechless speak."
Mark 7:31-37

And moving from there Jesus went along the Sea of Galilee,
and going up on the mountain he sat there.
And large crowds approached him having with them
the lame, crippled, blind, dumb, and many others,
and they laid them at his feet; and he healed them;
so that the crowd marveled
seeing the dumb speaking, the crippled healthy
and the lame walking and the blind seeing;
and they praised the God of Israel.
Matthew 15:29-31

In those days again there being a large crowd
also not having anything they might eat,
calling the disciples he says to them,
"I empathize with the crowd,
because already they are staying three days with me
and they do not have anything they may eat;
and if I let them go away to their homes hungry,
they will faint on the way;
and some of them are from far away."

And his disciples answered him,
"From where will anyone be able to get bread
to satisfy these here in the desert?"

And he asked them, "How many loaves do you have?"

And they said, "Seven."

And he instructed the crowd to sit down on the ground;
and taking the seven loaves,
giving thanks he broke and gave them to his disciples
so that they might serve it, and they served the crowd.

And they had a few small fish;
and blessing them he also told them to serve those.

And they ate and were satisfied,
and they picked up seven baskets of left-over pieces.
And there were about four thousand.
And he let them go away.
And immediately embarking in the boat with his disciples
he went into part of Dalmanutha.
Mark 8:1-10

And Jesus calling his disciples said,
"I empathize with the crowd,
because already they are staying three days with me
and they do not have anything they may eat;
and I am not willing to let them go away hungry,
lest they faint on the way."

And the disciples say to him,
"From where will we get so much bread in the desert
so as to satisfy such a crowd?"

And Jesus says to them, "How many loaves do you have?"

And they said, "Seven, and a few small fish."

And having instructed the crowd to sit down on the ground
he took the seven loaves and the fish
and giving thanks he broke and gave them to the disciples,
and the disciples to the crowds.

And they all ate and were satisfied,
and they picked up seven baskets full of left-over pieces.
And the ones eating were four thousand men,
besides women and children.

And having let the crowds go away he embarked in the boat,
and he went into the regions of Magadan.
Matthew 15:32-39

And the Pharisees came out and began to debate with him
seeking from him a sign from heaven, testing him.

And sighing a deep breath he says,
"Why does this generation seek a sign?
Amen, I tell you, one sign will be given to this generation."
Mark 8:11-12

And the Pharisees and Sadducees approaching him
asked him to show them a sign from heaven.

But answering he said to them,
"As evening comes you say, 'Fair weather,'
for heaven is fiery;
and in early morning: 'Stormy today,'
for heaven is fiery and gloomy.
You know how to discern the face of heaven,
and can you not discern the signs of the times?
A bad and adulterous generation searches for a sign,
and no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah."
Matthew 16:1-4

And leaving them again embarking
he went away to the other side.
And they forgot to take bread,
and except for one loaf they had none with them in the boat.

And he warned them saying, "See that you watch out for
the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod."

And they discussed it with each other
because they had no bread.

And knowing he says to them,
"Why do you discuss that you have no bread?
Still do you not see nor understand?
Have you hardened your hearts?
Having eyes do you not see,
and having ears do you not hear?
and do you not remember,
when I broke the five loaves for the five thousand,
how many baskets full of pieces you picked up?

They tell him, "Twelve."

"When the seven for the four thousand,
how many baskets full of pieces did you pick up?"

And they say, "Seven."

And he said to them, "Still do you not understand?"
Mark 8:13-21

And coming to the other side
the disciples forgot to take bread.
And Jesus said to them, "Watch and be careful
of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees."

And they discussed it among themselves
saying, "We took no bread."

But Jesus knowing said,
"Why do you discuss among yourselves,
you of little faith, that you have no bread?
Still do you not understand?
Do you not remember the five loaves of the five thousand
and how many baskets you picked up?
nor the seven loaves of the four thousand
and how many baskets you picked up?
How come you do not realize
that I was not telling you about bread?
But be careful of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees."

Then they understood that he was not saying
to be careful of the bread's yeast,
but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Matthew 16:5-12

And they come to Bethsaida.
And they bring to him a blind man,
and beg him to touch him.
And taking the hand of the blind man
he led him outside the village,
and spitting in his eyes, putting his hands on him,
he questioned him, "Do you see anything?"

And looking up he said,
"I see people that look like trees walking."
Then again he put his hands on his eyes,
and he looked straight and was restored,
and saw everything clearly.

And he sent him to his home
saying, "You should not go into the village."
Mark 8:22-26
